And naturally, refering to #1 above, that COMPLETELY jacked up a lot of the paragraph formatting I'd just taken so much time to get right.Īs my wife said to me, there HAS to be a better way to do this. As it is, when I discovered I jacked up the inner border and text header size, I had to individually go through each page's text box and change it to the new size. The objects of the master page cannot be changed from the applied page, but one has to go to Edit Master Pages tool. But when you're dealing with a just under 500 page project, that turns into a fair amount of wasted time.ģ) I really wish there was a way to globally adjust the size of identical text boxes throughout the document, like you can with borders and the like. It's not really that hard to insert a new text box onto a page, especially if one is already sized correctly on an adjacent page that I can just copy and paste.

I hate not being able to generate a new page based on a Master Page with a text box already installed and aligned, ready to go.

I can't for the life of me figure how to get around that one.Ģ) I love being able to set up Master Pages. In that case the next paragraph starts completely beneath the drop cap, leaving this goofy-looking blank space beneath the rest of the opening sentence. A similar problem occurs with drop caps if the paragraph is not long enough to extend over the several lines the drop cap takes up (like say for a single-sentence chapter opening). The only work around I've come up with is to simply add a whole bunch of extra spaces at the end of the line so it looks right, but that takes a lot of time and can lead to big headaches if I need to change the text box size at all (which I had to on the latest project).
